Good Samaritan Diagnostic Radiology Department provides digital radiography and fluoroscopy services. We have Digital Radiography systems in all radiography rooms. Digital Radiography is a form of radiography that uses x-ray–sensitive plates to directly capture data during the patient examination. Data is then immediately transferred to a computer system. This gives advantages of immediate image preview and availability, efficiency through elimination of costly film processing steps, as well as the ability to apply special image processing techniques that enhance overall display quality of the image. Digital Radiography also uses less than half the radiation of a traditional x-ray system, therefore decreasing the radiation dose to the patient significantly.
We also provide service to nursing home clients with our mobile x-ray unit that can be taken off site to the nursing home for their convenience.
We are staffed with 24 hour coverage 7 days a week by Registered Radiology technologists that have a combined total of over 200 years of experience.
Good Samaritan also offers Radiology services at 5 outpatient sites throughout Knox County.
