Computerized Tomography (CT) Scanning

Computed Tomography

Computed tomography (CT) captures detailed images throughout your body, helping your doctor make a more accurate diagnosis of your condition. A CT scan uses X-rays (radiant energy) to penetrate the body and produce clear pictures of your bones, muscles, tissues, organs, blood vessels and brain that a regular X-ray cannot show.

Our CT technologists are Board Certified and have over 150 years of combined experience. We have two 128 slice CT scanners that produce excellent imaging at a significantly lower radiation dose to the patient (average 60% less radiation dose than other scanners). CT is American College of Radiology (ACR) accredited.

We Provide the Following Services:

  • Low Dose Lung Cancer Screening (CT scan that uses lower dose to help detect lung cancer)
  • Virtual Colonoscopy (Non-invasive CT scan that is used to detect colon cancer, polyps, and colon abnormalities)
  • Calcium Scoring (CT used to detect calcified plaque in the coronary arteries)
  • CTA Coronary Arteries (Non-invasive CT angiogram to detect blockages and abnormalities in the heart)
  • CT Guided Needle Biopsies and Abscess Drainages (CT guidance for Intervention)
  • CT Angiograms of all body parts and structures (Iodinated IV contrast is injected to evaluate blood vessels, blockages, and aneurysms)
  • All routine CT Body Imaging (Head, Neck, Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis, Upper and Lower Extremities, etc...)
