Good Samaritan provides exceptional women's healthcare in a welcoming and comfortable environment, delivering the highest standard of care. We understand that a woman’s health needs evolve throughout her life, and at Good Samaritan, we are dedicated to offering personalized support at every stage.
We take a family-centered approach to childbirth, beginning during pregnancy and continuing after the hospital discharge. To help parents and families prepare for the birth and care of their newborn, we offer expectant parent classes. Women can choose from a range of pain management options during labor and delivery, and our spacious birthing rooms allow fathers and other family members to be present.
We recognize that deliveries can occur at any time, and we offer flexible visitation hours throughout the hospital stay with the following guidelines:
Since 2019 Good Samaritan has been recognized as an Indiana Department of Health Perinatal Levels of Care designated Level 2 Center.
Good Samaritan has been recognized for Excellence in Infant and Maternal Health by the Indiana Hospital Association each year since 2020. The INspire Hospital of Distinction recognition is based on the implementation of best practices in six key areas, including infant safe sleep, breastfeeding, tobacco prevention and cessation, perinatal substance use, obstetric hemorrhage, and maternal hypertension.
Good Samaritan has been designated since 2023 as a Gold Certified National Safe Sleep Champion. Cribs for Kids® educates, parents, family members, childcare providers and health professionals about safe infant sleep and SIDS. As safe sleep champions, we’re diligently working to reduce the number of sleep-related infant deaths.
