About Sara

Sara is originally from Kearny, New Jersey and earned a BS in Chemical Biology at Stevens Institute of Technology, where she also garnered experience as an undergraduate researcher. She also sustained her community presence as a member of White Coats for Black Lives, the Muslim Student Association, the Cardiology Club, and the Salybia Mission Project at RUSM. She sees the beauty and strength of Internal Medicine in the formation of trusting, valued, and unique relationships with patients. Outside of medicine, she has been a martial artist for over a decade and holds a first-degree black belt and several trophies in karate, which has taught her discipline, perseverance, and leadership skills.
