About Sagar

Sagar is from Wayne, IL, a village on the western outskirts of Chicago. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in Biology. He has developed a strong interest in Global Health, having completed a medical mission trip to Tanzania, performing public health education on prevention and treatment of HIV. This experience spurred his interest in social determinants of health, and healthcare disparities. He has spent time volunteering at an assisted living facility to improve healthcare access there. Outside of medicine his interests include cycling, volleyball, running and volunteering as a coach for little league baseball.
