Mohammed Ismael, DO,MD

About Mohammed

Dr. Mohammed Ismael grew up in a rural town in Egypt, where the majority of the population were farmers. This background gave him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by underserved communities, especially in accessing medical care. After completing his education in Egypt, he pursued his medical degree at the New York Institute of Technology and specialized in general surgery, a field that captured his interest from the very beginning of his clinical rotations.

For Dr. Ismael, surgery is a significant event in anyone's life, even for those who have undergone multiple procedures. It's a field where problems can often be resolved and pain alleviated in a tangible way, fostering a unique bond of trust between the patient and the surgeon. He is committed to providing the best possible care, thoroughly addressing each patient’s concerns and ensuring their well-being.

At Good Samaritan, he is part of a team that utilizes advanced technology, such as the Da Vinci robot, to expand minimally invasive surgical options. With this dedicated team, Dr. Ismael aims to deliver care that matches the quality of larger institutions, all within the convenience of the local community.

In his free time, Dr. Ismael enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is planning to return to CrossFit soon. He also strongly encourages everyone to get their colonoscopies starting at age 45 if there is no family history of colon cancer, or earlier if advised by their primary care physician.
