Blaine T. Manning, MD

Dr. Manning is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon specializing in spinal disorders such as stenosis, disk herniations, sciatica, spondylolisthesis, spondylosis, degenerative cervical, thoracic, or lumbar disease, deformity, and trauma. He also specializes in correcting failed surgery and revision procedures. Dr. Manning has extensive experience with the latest techniques in spine surgery, including motion preservation and disc replacement (non-fusion surgery), navigation, robotics, minimally invasive spine surgery, and outpatient spine surgery.

Dr. Manning is a native of Springfield, IL, and attended medical school at Rush Medical College (Chicago, IL). During medical training, he was active in clinical research and was the principal or co-investigator on nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and abstract presentations. Dr. Manning completed a five-year residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Missouri (Columbia, MO). During this time, he served as a resident surgeon and physician for the University of Missouri Tiger Athletics and was also the recipient of a Resident Award from the Southern Orthopaedic Association (SOA)/Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF). After residency, Dr. Manning was selected for 1 of 54 North American AO Spine Fellowships and completed subspecialty training in spine surgery and reconstruction at the Medical College of Georgia (Augusta, GA).
