Good Samaritan Now Offers MyChart Fast Pass for Earlier Appointments

Good Samaritan is excited to introduce a new MyChart feature called Fast Pass. Fast Pass is a digital waitlist that allows patients who schedule an appointment the ability to opt in for an earlier appointment, if one becomes available.

“When an earlier appointment becomes available, notifications are sent to patients based on scheduling priority and the time they’ve spent on the waitlist,” said Amy Bushey, Good Samaritan Senior Epic Analyst. “The first patient to accept the new time secures the appointment. Once accepted, the original appointment is automatically canceled and the new appointment is confirmed seamlessly.”

Signing up for Fast Pass is quick and easy. If you’re scheduling your appointment by phone, simply request to be added to the Fast Pass waitlist. If you prefer to schedule online, visit gshvin.org/mychart or use the MyChart app. Navigate to the "Schedule an Appointment" section in the main menu and select the option to join the waitlist to receive alerts for earlier appointment availability. You can also add Fast Pass to an already scheduled appointment! Simply log in to MyChart, select "Visits," open your appointment, click "Details," and choose "Get on the Wait List." Please note that not all appointments or procedures are eligible for the Fast Pass option.
