Effective immediately, Good Samaritan is requiring face masks in all outpatient waiting areas within the hospital due to a substantial increase in respiratory illness within the community. This precautionary measure is being implemented to help protect both patients and caregivers from illness.
“Our priority is always the health and safety of those we serve,” said Laura Mcbee, Good Samaritan Infection Prevention Coordinator. “By reinstating the mask requirement in our outpatient waiting areas, we aim to reduce the spread of respiratory illnesses and create a safer environment for everyone.”
Patients and visitors can obtain masks at the reception areas of the Health Pavilion, Emergency Department, and Sixth Street entrances. Good Samaritan appreciates the community’s cooperation and understanding as we take necessary steps to safeguard public health.
