In recognition of National First Responders Day 2024, Good Samaritan Emergency Medical Services will host a special screening of the impactful documentary, "Honorable But Broken: EMS in Crisis." We welcome all community members to join us on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 6:30 PM EST at the Charles C. Hedde, MD Health Education Center, located at 520 S. Seventh Street, Vincennes, Indiana. Light refreshments will be provided.
“National First Responders Day is an opportunity to honor the courageous men and women who are the first to respond in times of crisis, dedicating their lives to protecting and saving others,” said Joseph Millspaugh, Good Samaritan EMS Supervisor. “This year, we are spotlighting the unique challenges faced by EMS professionals through the documentary 'Honorable But Broken: EMS in Crisis.' The film underscores the commitment, emotional strain, and systemic difficulties endured by EMS workers nationwide.”
Following the screening, a brief discussion will be held on the current state of EMS services and their vital role within our community. This event offers the public a chance to better understand the challenges EMS personnel face and to show appreciation for their essential contributions.
