Good Samaritan Announces Tara Ellermann as Chief Talent Officer and Other Leadership Changes

Good Samaritan is pleased to announce the promotion of Tara Ellermann as the organization’s first Chief Talent Officer. Ellermann has been with Good Samaritan since December of 2017, when she started as the manager of Human Resources. She was then promoted to Director of HR in February 2020 and then Executive Director of HR in August 2021.

Rob McLin, President and CEO of Good Samaritan, said this promotion was made to recognize Ellermann’s work and to better align the executive team structure. “Tara has done an excellent job serving on our executive team for the last three years and this promotion to Chief Talent Officer is well-deserved,” he stated. “This new role will reflect her commitment to continuing Good Samaritan’s journey toward being the employer and provider of choice by growing that talent in the organization through recruitment, retention, employee engagement, education and patient experience.”

Ellermann says she is grateful and looking forward to serving in this new role. “I am truly honored to step into the role of Chief Talent Officer at Good Samaritan. This organization has been my professional home since 2017, and I am grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to grow here,” she stated. “In this new role, I’m excited to continue fostering a culture of excellence and compassion, ensuring that we attract, develop, and retain the best talent to serve our community. Together, we will build on the strong foundation we’ve created and strive to make Good Samaritan the employer and provider of choice in our region."
