Walk With a Doc Returning to Saturday Mornings

Walk With a Doc will be returning to Gregg Park beginning Saturday, May 7, from 9 to 10 a.m. The community is invited to join and spend a few minutes learning about a current health topic. Then, attendees will spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk at their own pace and distance.
Walk With a Doc is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages, and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and well-being of the country.
According to the American Heart Association, walking as little as 30 minutes a day can provide these benefits:

Walk organizer, Dr. Kristin Mahan, encourages anyone in the community to join the walk to better their health and wellness. This is a free program and pre-registration is not required.
