Endoscopic procedures assist in the diagnosis of digestive tract disorders by allowing physicians to visually examine and photograph the gastrointestinal tract and obtain biopsy samples.

Good Samaritan Hospital's Endoscopy Unit specialists are experienced and strive to deliver the highest level of patient comfort. Six dedicated treatment rooms facilitate procedures.

Detecting Colon Cancer Early

If you're 50 years or older, you should schedule a yearly colonoscopy to help reduce your risk of developing colon cancer.

Colon cancer warnings signs include bleeding from rectum, diarrhea, constipation, or feelings of incomplete bowel movements, blood in the stool, chronic fatigue, vomiting, unexplained weight loss, abdominal discomfort, and anemia. If you are experiencing these symptoms, see your doctor.
